Shri RatanlalKanwarlalPatni Girls Nursing College, Kishangarh organized a Role play in Government Higher Secondary School, Farasiya, Kishangarh by the Paediatrics and Pediatrics Department of the college on the occasion of World ORS Day.

On this occasion, the Principal of the school Meenakshi Tank and the Principal of the Nursing College HimanshuRaghav Dadhich were present. In the program, the students gave detailed information about the benefits of giving ORS to the teachers, boys and girls of the school.

On this occasion, the Principal of the school said that every year in many parts of the world including India, many children and adults fall sick only due to dehydration. In such a situation, the timely use of ORS can save lives.

The Director and Secretary of the institution, Subhash Agrawal, while sending the message said that on the occasion of World ORS Day, many children and adults fall sick. On the occasion of ORS (Oral Rehydration Solution) Day, we should all remember how a simple solution – a combination of water, salt and sugar – can save the lives of millions of people. This day not only gives us an opportunity to understand the importance of ORS, but also gives the message of making the public aware of its use.

Principal of Nursing College HimanshuRaghav Dadhich said that the correct use of ORS can prove to be life saving in conditions like diarrhoea and dehydration.

The students of GNM First Year (Session 2024-25) told the children through role-play how there is a lack of water and salt in the body when there is diarrhoea, and how ORS can prove to be life saving. Through this play, they also explained how ORS can be prepared at home and what is its correct quantity.

The coordinators of the program were co-teacher Shabnam Bano and tutors were Ram Singh Bhadaniya and ShashikantVaishnav.
