On the Occasion of World AIDS Day on 1st December 2025, Department of Medical Surgical Nursing Shri Ratanlal Kanwarlal Patni Girls’ (Nursing) College, Kishangarh, organized Nukkad Natak (Street Play)under the guidance of Assistant professor Ms. Barkha Sharma & Mr. Anurag Sharma. The global theme of AIDS Day 2025 is “Overcoming Disruption, Transforming the AIDS Response,” The event aimed to enhance awareness among college students regarding HIV/AIDS, its prevention, early diagnosis, and the importance of eliminating social stigma.
On this occasion, Principal of Degree College Dr. Shailendra Kumar Patni and Principal of Nursing College Himanshu Raghav Dadhich were present. In the program, an impressive street play was organized by the second year GNM students.
The main objective of the program was to spread awareness in the society about AIDS and through the street play, the importance of understanding, compassion, knowledge in the fight against AIDS was highlighted and an attempt was also made to dispel the rum ours related to this disease.
While conveying the message, Director and Secretary of the college Subhash Agarwal said that in the fight against AIDS, it is very important to provide correct information to the people so that the misconception spread about a disease like AIDS can be removed.
Degree College Principal Dr. Shailendra Kumar Patni said that AIDS is not an infectious disease and its treatment and cure is possible in time.
Principal of Nursing College, Himanshu Raghav Dadhich said that for a disease like AIDS, prevention is the only protection and the more information people have, the more they will be aware.
The central attraction of the event was a well-executed and impactful Nukkad Natak performed by the GNM 2nd year students, effectively portraying the modes of HIV transmission, common misconceptions, safe health practices, significance of timely testing and treatment, and the need for empathy and support towards individuals living with HIV. The event successfully enriched students’ knowledge, fostered responsible health behaviours, and strengthened community engagement through creative educational expression, making the World AIDS Day observance both meaningful and highly impactful.
