HEALTH TALK & AWARNESS SEMINAR ON GYNACELOGICAL CANCER AND VACCINES.

A health discussion and awareness seminar was organized by the Medical Surgical Nursing department of Shri Ratanlal Kanwarlal Patni Girls Nursing College, Kishangarh. On this occasion, Dr. Arpit Jain, Oncological Surgeon (Assistant Professor, J.L.N Medical College, Ajmer), Dr. Seema Mutha, Radiological Oncologist (Director, Samarpit Breast and Cancer Hospital, Ajmer), Dr. Shailendra Patni, Principal of Degree College, Himanshu Raghav Dadhich, Principal of Nursing College were present. The purpose of this special program was to spread public awareness about gynecological cancers occurring in women such as cervical, ovarian, and uterine cancer and to make them aware about the vaccines available to prevent them.
Dr. Arpit Jain provided detailed information about gynecological cancers, i.e., cancers related to the female genital organs, such as cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, and uterine cancer. He discussed in detail the causes, symptoms, diagnosis, and various treatment methods for these cancers. In particular, Dr. Arpit Jain presented the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccine as an effective and essential preventive measure for cervical cancer. He also advised all women to undergo regular health checkups and seek medical advice from time to time to ensure timely diagnosis and treatment.
Speaker of this occasion, Dr. Seema Muthaexplained that radiological treatment is an effective method that uses high-energy rays to destroy cancer cells. This treatment is primarily used when cancerous tumors are not amenable to surgery or when it is necessary to eliminate any remaining cancer cells after surgery. She explained that this treatment is noninvasive, causing minimal damage to surrounding healthy tissue.
Subhash Agarwal, Director and Secretary of the college, said that awareness about gynecological cancers is crucial to protecting women’s lives and health. He added that many cases, which could have been prevented if they were to become serious, are simply due to lack of information and hesitation.Degree College Principal Dr. Shailendra Patni said that gynecological cancer has become a serious challenge for women’s health today, which not only affects the life of the affected woman but also has a deep and long-term impact on her family and the entire society.
Nursing College Principal Himanshu Raghav Dadhich said that the primary objective of the Gynecological Cancer and Vaccines Awareness Symposium was to draw society’s attention to the increasing incidence of gynecological cancers in women, highlight the importance of vaccines in women’s health, and convey the clear message that these life-threatening diseases can be prevented through timely screening and appropriate care. Therefore, it is essential to control this disease through regular screening, timely vaccination, and awareness.
The program was conducted by Assistant Professor Barkha Sharma and Sonia Rawat and all the faculty members were present in the program.
