Report On World Rabies Day-2025

In observance of World Rabies Day, the Community Health Nursing Department at SRKPGNC, Kishangarh, organized an “Inter-House Quiz Competition on” “4th October 2025”. The event was conducted under the global theme Act Now: You, Me, Community, with the objective of raising awareness among nursing students about rabies prevention, symptoms, treatment, and global health strategies.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from all four student houses:

• Agni (Red House)

• Trishul (Yellow House)

• Akash (Blue House)

• Prithvi (Green House)

A total of 20 students participated, drawn from B.Sc. Nursing 2nd Semester and B.Sc. Nursing 5th Semester, with each house represented by a team of five members. This blend of junior and senior students fostered collaborative learning and peer interaction across academic levels. The quizmaster of this programme is Ms. SoniyaRawat, Assistant Lecturer . The quiz was comprising three rounds:

There are These rounds tested the students’ comprehensive knowledge of rabies, including topics like medical facts, first aid, vaccination protocols, and prevention strategies.
Special provisions were made to engage the audience—unanswered questions were passed on to them, adding an interactive dimension to the event.

After a closely contested competition, Prithvi (Green House)emerged victorious, securing first position with an outstanding performance.The winning team was awarded certificates of appreciation for their commendable efforts and active participation.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and a motivational address by Principal Mr. HimanshuRaghav Dadhich, who praised the organizing team for their dedication. He also emphasized the importance of such academic initiatives in nurturing competent, community-conscious nursing professionals.

The event was organized by Ms. Garima Dadhich, Head of the Community Health Nursing Department, and was hosted by Ms. SoniyaRawat, Assistant Lecturer, and Nursing Tutor Mr. Vijay Pal Simar,
