Shri Ratanlal Kanwarlal Patni Girl’s Nursing College, Kishangarh
organized a seminar on “Menstrual Hygiene” on October 9, 2024,
between 12.30 PM -1.30 PM for the B.Sc Nursing and GNM students
at seminar hall, SRKPGNC.
This seminar on menstrual hygiene was organized by the Department of
Gynecology and Obstetrics and Community Health Nursing . On this
occasion, Director and Secretary of the Institute CA Subhash Agarwal
conveyed message to the students that, this seminar is dedicated to
breaking taboos related to menstruation and raising awareness about the
importance of good menstrual hygiene management. Principal of the
College of Nursing Dr. Anil Kumar Parashar said that most of women
are not aware about menstruation and due to negligence of hygenic
aspect can lead to further serious complication. Head of the Department
of gynecology and Obstetrics, Mrs. Tripti Dadhich, & Head of the
Department of Community Health Nursing,,Mrs. Garima Dadhich was
the resource person.
The session focused on menstruation hygiene, the availability of
different sanitary products, including the usage and disposal of sanitary
products, current Central Government and State Government initiatives
for improve menstrual hygiene and the simple ways to maintain
environmental hygiene in the college, hostel, hospital and community
also. Around 150 students attended the session. All the faculty members
were present in the program.
